She and her partner started In-Touch Marketing and Bertholf Ventures in 2010, helping hundreds of clients create marketing strategies and grow their business online including Oceanic Time Warner Cable, Auto Anything, Hilton Waikiki Hotel, and the City and County of Honolulu. She worked at Cox Media Group Hawaii for 10 years, beginning as an Account Manager, working on creative campaigns for clients like Mercedes Benz and Central Pacific bank, and five years as General Sales Manager. Later she launched their Digital Sales division as Digital Sales Manager helping her team to exceed their sales goals by over 200%.
What I love about my work
As a marketing nerd, I was fascinated by creating content online that attracted website visitors. I created my first website with a downloadable product I sold for $37. About two months after posting the product on my website, I made my first sale and I was hooked on SEO and digital marketing. It felt like I was creating magic.
My most memorable client was not a big company. He ran a small fishing charter business on the side to pay for his kids college tuition. I helped him refresh his website and automate most of the sales process so he spent much less time on sales.
We did SEO and ran Google Ads so his sales were quite consistent. After a few years he received a dream offer and he sold his business, which allowed him to retire. When he called me to tell me the news and thank me for my part, I felt as happy as if it was my business.
When I’m not working…
I enjoy cooking and making healthy (and sometimes not so healthy) meals. I love to hike, do yoga, read and cuddle with and annoy my two cats.
